We are an "others'-opinion-of-us" conscious society! We care as to what our family, friends, co-workers, bosses, and others think about us!
Quite often, we either...
- willingly accept others' negative opinion of us, or
- we simply incorrectly perceive their opinions, or
- sometimes even preempt rejection / judgement,
...and act / live from a space of limitations, not fully living to our true potential!
We end up accepting an untrue, limited, somewhat mediocre version of ourselves.
This calls for knowing and loving oneself and building or rebuilding one's self worth. I have learned this, the hard way, and I am still learning / strengthening this.
Healthy relationships, I have learned, are the ones that accept and allow you to be you and inspire you to grow and be extraordinary, and you in turn reciprocate the same.
2020-2021 seems to have allowed us the time and space to use this thought, as a barometer, to re-evaluate the relationships in our lives.

I choose to accept myself, flaws and all, and I offer such compassionate acceptance to others too. I understand now, that...
